Funeral fund refuses to pay funeral costs

My father passed away on 7/16/2022. He was a member of a funeral fund where he paid an annual contribution. I was contacted within 2 hours of the death with the contact person of the funeral fund. He immediately indicated that my father was no longer a member. The reason given was that the contribution had increased in recent years has not been paid. I do not agree with that, the contribution has been paid in full. We have also not received a letter or message stating that the membership has been terminated terminated. The most recent invoice we received is dated 28-01-2021, with an expiration date of 31-03-2021. To my knowledge, all (then) outstanding amounts paid on 23-02-2021. And the contribution for this year was paid on 2-1-2022, but this was refunded by the association on 13-01-2022. I received the refund on 18-01-2022 payment again and sent a message on Whatsapp to check it. After contacting the funeral fund decided to hire a funeral company to organize the funeral arrange. I have now received the invoice for this, which must be paid no later than 1-8-2022. I would like to receive legal assistance to to persuade the funeral fund to pay the costs of my father's funeral (in a timely manner) to make payment.
