My employer terminated my contract on July 31st, without notifying me. My AOW started on August 15th, 2022, as I reached the age of 66 years and 7 months. According to our collective labor agreement for public libraries, the employment contract ends when the aforementioned age is reached. According to my employer, an employment contract always ends on the 1st of a month. This means that I would miss out on 2 weeks of salary and what I actually find even worse is the emotional side of this story, since I have been employed for 34 years, with a permanent contract.
