Non-payment of wages by employer?

After working at a riding school as a stable hand for a year, I called in sick 2 weeks ago. The work situation became unbearable over time and made me sick. I had to work many more hours than I was paid for and there was a lot of pressure on me. I was often shouted at and asked to do things that I did not want to do. Such as hitting horses. 2 weeks ago I went to my GP. He advised me not to work anymore. Today I noticed that I can no longer see my pay slips and my salary has not been paid either. How should I respond to this?
