What date for electronic notice of default?

Questioner

By letter we sent a notice of default to a contractor on date X, by registered mail. This was not accepted. Now we want to send a version of this notice of default by email a day later (X+1). Should the date in the electronic version already remain on date X or be changed to date X+1? This is to avoid any formal errors. Thanks in advance

You could mention the current date. Then you have effectively given notice of default twice. If a notice of default is sent by registered mail, you have proof that it was sent and delivered (regardless of whether it was refused or accepted).
