Is donation via email valid?

I was promised a donation via email if I would provide my bank account number. After providing the bank account number, I have not heard anything. Are there any legal steps possible?

Donation agreements are free of form, which means that no special formal rules apply to the creation of the donation. You accepted the donation by providing your bank account number. Then it seems obvious to me that the donor must honor his donation. Legal steps? Yes, but such a story as you briefly describe usually has more catches than I can see here.
