Loss of rights when leaving a home in the event of divorce?

My husband and I are going through a divorce. We are currently living together in the same house, but this is not working. I want to temporarily live with my mother. Do I retain my rights to our home if I do this?

It is wise to make agreements with your future ex about the costs of the home (such as mortgage interest, gas/water/electricity) and the use of the home.
