Proposal for delivery of actual transfer of possession.

Questioner

I have been divorced since 2010 and have continued to live in our former shared home. There are still some of my ex's stuff in my house and I want it picked up. Our divorce agreement states: 'Delivery takes place by actual transfer of possession which is deemed to have taken place on the date of registration of the divorce decree'. The date of registration was 28-10-2010. May I now make her the following proposal: - She will be given a maximum of 4 half days (3 hours each) to find out (possibly together with me) what else she wants to take with her. - The parts of the day must have been used before May 2023 and the goods she still wants must also have actually been collected from my house by then. - Whatever is left in my home after that, I consider as my property

Questioner

I'm sorry, but I see I made a mistake in mentioning the date of registration.... (I can't see if I can edit the text of my question) This should be: 28-10-2020. Quite a difference. To what extent does that impact your answer?

Lawyer

No, the answer remains the same. Even after 2.5 years it is high time to pick up the stuff!😌

Questioner

Great, thank you! lastly: Is it legally valid that I consider anything that is still in my home as my property?
