Putting a roofer in default?
Questioner
I have a flat roof of approximately 14 m2. This had to be overlaid because a leak had occurred at a drain (left corner). There are 2 drains on it. The drain where the leak was is not the problem but the side of the other drain (gravel box). The roofers did not do the overlay properly and the mastic edges were not sealed properly. The old bitumen was also partly removed at the gravel box to direct the rainwater to it. The overlay at the gravel box was cut too wide, causing rainwater to get under the bitumen layer. This corner is now also the problem with regard to water damage in the kitchen. There is considerable water damage in the kitchen on the ceiling, wall and the cove of the extractor system. How can I create a default letter for the roofers?Lawyer
A notice of default is an obligation prior to the consequential damage, you give a third party the choice to complete repair work after which, if not, you can take further legal measures. You may contact me and then I will draw up a notice of default for you without costs. groenewegenjuristen@gmail.comTake the next step
