Exception to absolute limitation period for personal injury

I grew up in a cult that programmed me to be obedient and to deny negative emotions. Everything was always nice and grateful. At home, I was sexually and physically abused by various perpetrators from the time I was a baby. The cult protected the perpetrators and forced me to 'forgive', while actively blocking psychiatric help. I developed a dissociative disorder that remained invisible for a long time. I remained trapped in this pink bubble for a large part of my life. In the meantime, everything else collapsed and I became incapacitated for work. In 2020, a book was published by a fellow sufferer that opened my eyes - and many others. I was 54 at the time. The cult has publicly and personally admitted to me that things have gone very wrong. They rely on the absolute limitation period for personal injury. However, on a website of a personal injury company I read that this absolute period does not apply if the injury itself prevented timely reporting. I assume that a diagnosis of DID that has been confirmed time and again (by various caregivers) can sufficiently demonstrate that I was not able to see what was going on earlier. That realization only came after the book and even then it took quite some time, only now with a caregiver who understands cult programming is everything slowly becoming clear. I want to sue the organization based on the fact that I was not able to report it earlier. My question: is it true that this exception does exist in the law, if so, would you please send me the relevant article of the law?
