Compensation for medical error?
Questioner
A year and a half ago, an orthopedist neglected to look at an MRI scan that stated that I had a pathological fracture in my shinbone, which resulted in me walking around with this fracture for six months until I discovered it when reading my file. Eventually I got a new knee, because my knee was nothing more than rubble. A pin was also tapped into my shin, unfortunately right through the shin. Nothing else was done about this, so the pin is now next to the shaft. The doctor thought this was irresponsible and I will soon have a revision of the knee plus shin. I think it is a disgrace that this can just happen. I want to claim damages for this because the doctors are going on vacation and I have not even been able to rehabilitate. I am now still in unbearable pain in a wheelchair. Who can solve this for me without high legal costs?Lawyer
