Is a sofa sinking covered by the warranty?
Questioner
Less than a year ago I bought a sofa. This sofa has a relax area on one side, this relax area sags, so much so that I no longer find it comfortable to sit on. We presented this problem to the supplier. They came to have a look, his opinion was that the sofa had not sag, but sunk. This would be normal for this type of sofa. If it got worse we could call again. We had to make do with this. When we indicated that we did not agree, they offered: that we could call in an independent service agency and if it turns out that the complaint is unfounded, that the costs would be for our account. I have a different opinion about this and think that this should fall under service. My question is: what to do now? .Lawyer
Good afternoon, As a consumer (which I am assuming now) you are legally protected. Defects that you do not have to tolerate (in most cases this includes the sagging of a sofa) must be repaired free of charge, certainly if they occur within a year of purchase. If repair is not possible (consider the nature of the defect, or economically unprofitable), you are entitled to a replacement product or your money back. Feel free to contact us without obligation to discuss the possibilities. Gr, Mr. Mr. S. Leito FerLei Legal 06-49175526Neem de volgende stap
