Hiring a lawyer for a small claim?

Last summer I booked a hostel for 1 night via booking.com in Halbe, Germany, but upon arrival the hostel was permanently closed. Over a period of three months I called the booking company for about four hours and was promised that the hostel (30 euros) and the replacement accommodation (67 euros) would be reimbursed. Time and time again I am told that they will sort it out but nothing is reimbursed. The booking company keeps trying to contact the owner of the hostel, but he does not respond to anything. Does it make sense to hire a lawyer for these costs or will the lawyer's costs quickly exceed the benefits?
