Rights when purchasing a defective product/poor service?

Last February we bought a new electric cargo bike. After using the bike for about 6 months, all sorts of ailments surfaced. Bad brakes, battery no longer works. The bike has now been repaired twice, which took weeks. The first time 3 weeks, then 2 weeks. Now the bike is back because it stopped working after 1 hour of use. The bike has been there for a week now. No concrete information is communicated back to us. When the bike is ready, when it will be worked on. And if there are planned/agreed dates for the bike to be looked at, this does not happen. If different people call to ask about the status of the bike, everyone gets a different answer. We depend on the bike to take the children to school, almost half an hour by bike to school. The past few weeks when the bike was being repaired, I took the children to and from school. This costs me 2 and a half hours per day. I have to catch up on all these hours and/or take vacation hours for it. This also costs us hundreds of euros extra per month in fuel. We don't really know what steps we should take.Lawyer
Good evening, Annoying situation you are in. I assume that you bought the bike as a consumer from a professional party. Usually you have to have the seller repair the product before you can invoke dissolution. It appears from your story that you have done this several times. I will explain below what steps you can take. Recovery requirements The starting point is that the seller must repair the product without significant inconvenience. The seller may also not charge any costs. Termination of the agreement In principle, termination is possible if the seller has had the opportunity to repair the defect and has done so without success. Since you have already done so, you can claim your money back and also claim replacement damages. Think of the additional costs you incur. The aforementioned is of course a theoretical explanation. All facts and circumstances play a role. For example, you can think of how you yourself handled the bike, how the bike repairman repaired the bike, etc. In order to determine your legal position, it is also important to review all relevant documents (copy of invoice, correspondence between parties, etc.). Feel free to contact us without obligation to discuss the possibilities. Kind regards, Mr. Mr. S. Leito FerLei Legal 06-49175526Neem de volgende stap
