On September 4th I started a distance learning course at a private school. There was no reference to the terms and conditions in the entire registration process. There was also no reference to the terms and conditions in the education agreement. I was never informed in writing, by phone or by email about the terms and conditions. After some problems such as never receiving my book package, I decided to cancel the course. This was on September 28th that my cancellation was made in writing, after it was difficult to unsubscribe. Now the school is forcing me to pay back thousands of euros, namely an estimated amount of 7400 euros. For the 3.5 weeks that I was a student. If I don't pay it, I will get the bailiff and the collection agency on my back. Because apparently that was in the terms and conditions. If I had known the terms and conditions in advance, I would never have agreed to such a 'stranglehold contract'. I tried to only pay a reasonable salary for the costs that I actually incurred. But they did not agree to that. I earn between 1100 and 1239 euros per month maximum. I am chronically ill so I can no longer work hours. I do not know what is cheaper, a legal procedure or just the amount to pay monthly. I have been looking for help with this problem for a long time. But I do not know where to start my search? Whether I am eligible for a subsidy? I also have no one who can help me with this? I am very afraid that I will lose my life because of all this.
