Request payment of compensation?

My son is involved in an arson with 2 other people. My son did not start the fire himself, but he did have the lighter with him that was used. My son is held personally liable on the basis of group liability and is responsible for paying the entire damage amount of 82,000 euros, within 14 days. Apparently we have to recover internally from the other boys ourselves. What advice can you give? The insurance company does not want to pay, even though they initially did take this into consideration.

I have read your message and what a drama it all is. That your son has been held personally liable, there are quite a few questions to be asked about that. Recovering the damages from the co-founders is of crucial importance and strange that no statement has been made about that.
