Help with excessive deductions from WAJONG benefits
Questioner
I receive a Wa-jong benefit because I am 80 to 100 percent disabled. I lived in an AWBZ institution and then a personal contribution is deducted from your benefit. In April 2012 I moved to a fokus home and no personal contribution has to be paid here. After my move, the personal contribution was still deducted. So from April to October 2012 too much was deducted. Since October, we have been in contact with the CAK several times and we keep getting the answer that it is being investigated. They also promise to contact us soon but nothing has happened. What now?Lawyer
You can send them a registered letter in which you ask the CAK to respond immediately (or within 5 working days). In that letter you state when you approached them and that you are claiming back the excess amount withheld. If necessary, you can say that you will otherwise be forced to take legal action. If necessary, you can contact me via the contact button. yours sincerely,Take the next step
