After working for a few months for a company, I had a six-month contract through an employment agency with the verbal words that this would be converted into a permanent contract after six months. My contract states that it expires on March 1. But because I was certain that it would become permanent after that, I bought a house, for which I needed a letter of intent, so that the bank knew that I would get a permanent job. And I got that. Now they don't want to continue with this and give me a one-year contract again, because according to them they are not yet convinced of my abilities. Now I have another year of uncertainty. And I don't think this is allowed. Can you tell me what my rights are?Lawyer
As you describe it, you are entitled to an agreement for an indefinite period. This would only be different if the letter of intent would irrefutably show otherwise.
