Reclaiming legal costs: what to do?

As the plaintiff, I am independently pursuing legal proceedings in the subdistrict court. The opposing party has included a counterclaim in its statement of defense. I am now considering hiring a lawyer. Will I be able to reclaim these costs (for an attorney) later? After all, I didn't name an attorney in the summons.

A lawyer isn't necessary. However, it's important that the lawyer specializes in the relevant legal field. Incidentally, the award of legal costs generally doesn't cover costs.
