My ex partner with whom I have a son together wants to get a custody rights over son which I am not giving. He might bring me to the court. Currently he is not supporting neither me or our son. Could you please let me know which are the terms to keep sole custody. My son is a Latvian citizen as well as I am. I am willing him to provide visitation rights but not full custody over a child. If Dutch law is applicable, your former is entitled to an access arrangement and he also has parental authority over your son. You can agree on the contact arrangement with your ex in writing. Dear Beoordeel, I know that there are exceptions where mother can keep single custody over the child and I would like to know what are these conditions. I know one is that if it is not on interest of a child. I have never refused the father to see a child or be with him, but actually there is no interest in spending time with the son. We never had registered partnership/marriage. Due to the fact that I have been helping his business I actually have not worked for past 2 years as well currently I am staying in the same house he is living as we both have rental agreement over the place. Also he has been taking money from his company excluding his salary and he has been saying me that he has enough money to destroy me, due to that reason I have also announced belastingdienst that he has been manipulating with money and not just living from his income. What kind of reflection it can be on me? I have been fighting and supporting my son till the day he started a new relationship, he is in new one and still on IND residence permit because of me. He has not been paying any money for son and I do not want to ask for alimentary officially if he is not willing to give it by himself I am willing to manage all myself. As i said i have been looking for a job and new place of living. Also he has been lying that I have taken our kid without permission to my home country which is not the true I can prove that all facts he has been using against me is just to lie about all, at the time I was in Latvia he and his mother was also there. My intention of keeping sole custody with visitation rights are in interest of a child because currently he is using a child as a control of me however he has started new relationship long time ago. I am willing to work with him on matters for visitation, also informing about wealth being of a child but currently I dont see the beneficial part that we share custody. Thank you for your response.
